Hard-Wired Hunter Douglas Products     
are becoming more complex.  At this time only Certified
Motorization Specialist may order Motorized Duette and Motorized
Drapery Tracks.  All other hard-wired motorized products may
be ordered with the assistance of our in-house Motorization Team.

WHAT IS A CERTIFIED MOTORIZATION SPECIALIST?

Hunter Douglas offers a certification program to dealers who are committed to

excellence in hard-wired projects.  Participating dealers must be nominated

by their Hunter Douglas fabricator and agree to the program requirements.

 

Certified Motorization Specialists receive the comprehensive and hands-on

training necessary to provide exceptional service to consumer and increase

motorization sales.  Other benefits include:

 

• Lead generation.

• Referrals to consumers, designers and industry partners.

• Availability of exclusive motorized products, currently this includes Duette and our

  Motorized  Drapery Track.

• Specialized customer support.

• Customized merchandising solutions and marketing tools.

• Specialized e-mail newsletters and discussion groups.

COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING

FOR CERTIFIED MOTORIZATION SPECIALISTS

Hunter Douglas is pleased to offer a comprehensive training program for Certified

Motorization Specialists. The following is a description of the training elements:

 

LEVEL 1

Introduction to Hard-Wired Motorization

Location: Online (on-demand webinar)

 

Whether a designer or installer, the Level 1 introduction provides fundamental concepts

of motorization and an overview of the different motor and control options available from

Hunter Douglas. Topics include:

› Features and benefits of Hunter Douglas hard-wired motorized products

› Planning motorization projects

› Basic control concepts

 

Upon completion of the Level 1 training and a passing score on a post-training assessment,

you will be notified by the Motorization team, of the Level 2 training dates.

 

LEVEL 2

Programming & Planning Motorization Projects

Location: Broomfield, Colorado

 

Installers and technical salespeople will benefit from a multi-day, in-house training event

that provides detailed instruction. Topics include:

› Introduction to hard-wired motorization

› Control concepts and options

› Programming motorization projects

› Integration with automation and lighting systems

Upon completion of the Level 2 training, attendees must complete an online assessment and submit a written project planning exercise to fulfill the training requirement.

 

In order to participate in this program Dealer/Installer must agree to meet the following requirements:

 

› Display a minimum of four Hunter Douglas hard-wired motorized products as well as the necessary control devices to operate these products.

› Display product sample books for all Hunter Douglas products that are available in hard-wired motorization systems.

› Commit to all required training specific to the Hunter Douglas Certified Motorization Specialist Program on an ongoing basis and complete any required testing.

› When the lead originates from Hunter Douglas, include only Hunter Douglas products and authorized Hunter Douglas components with all hard-wired motorization projects.

› Adhere to the current Hunter Douglas advertising guidelines when advertising Hunter Douglas products.

› Provide measuring and installation services.

› Maintain an account in good standing with Kaleidoscope Industries, Inc.

› Commit to customer satisfaction, seeing all motorization projects through to completion.
